Sorry there were no updates yesterday, got distracted… anyway here we are again today, starting with a rather fine deep house EP from a rather fine deep house label, Vision Collective.
Trad-style deep house – deep house of the kind that's been a constant on the real underground for 20 years, not of the trendy Euro-vocalled kind that's currently very hip in Shoreditch, and will be till about a week on Tuesday – is Vision Collective's stock-in-trade, and the four tracks here fit firmly within such a remit. Konekt is where to head if you like it a little more leftfield and headspace-y, Chocolate Stone is a touch more sumptuous and slightly garage-y while Grove Street is a late-night bubbler in its original form and a little more floor-oriented in Dominic Smith Remix form, but it's all good, as they say.
Another great EP from a new-ish label who are definitely worth watching.
Out: This week
About: This is number eight from Cork's Vision Collective, who can be found at their own website or on Facebook or Soundcloud.
