There are three mixes of Place In The Shade to choose from. The original's a lively little number with intricate percussion, nu disco-tastic synths and some old skool-sounding vocal snips, while Ross Richards' Shady Rework is more heads-down and chuggy, with the emphasis firmly on the groove. But the standout for me is the remix by Serbia's Mass Digital, in whose hands the track becomes a proper bassy 5am throbber whose essential darkness is alleviated by some more of those sparkling synths.
Whichever mix you plump for, though, you're getting a Demarkus Lewis record – and I don't think he's made a bad one yet…
