Marc Faenger - Encantado EP

Marc Faenger is a new name to me but he's apparently something of an institution on the German club scene, where he plays – according to the hype sheet for this – a blend of 'tech house, deep techno and minimal'. Which gives you an idea of what to expect here.

There are four tracks of offer. Encantado itself is a chuggy and quite trippy near-instrumental with the percussion to the fore, Keeping Up is sonically similar but a tad more straight-up jackin', while Curls is a bass-rumbling prog/tech houser complete with a dark n' drummy Dualton Dub.

One for the more heads-down, druggy, boys-y floors perhaps, but solid all the same.

Out: This week

About: This comes on French label Tree Hand Music, who you can find on Facebook and MySpace.
