Derek Turcios & Maxim Laskavy - Tambor De Menaya

Here's a drum-led houser from Street King that should find favour with a range of jocks, not least because there are no fewer than seven mixes on offer – though you only get four if you buy the vinyl. You'll need to pick up the Traxsource digital version for the rest.

The Original is a Latin-infused houser complete with a Spanish male vocal from Serge Taver… not my personal fave style but it'll play well in Ibiza, Miami and other places where the sun's shining! The Medium Size Panther Remix from Derek & Maxim themselves is in a VERY similar vein, but elsewhere, Philip Charles (of Bedrock fame) tones down the Latin influences on his prog-tinged Sur La Playa Remix, while Laskavy teams up with Anthony Mac for a Main Room at GBH Mix that's altogether dirtier and darker.

The Dirty Inkfish Remix is similarly down and dirty with a glitchy kinda feel, but the pick of the mixes to these ears come in the form of Fulvio Perniola's Pressure Remix, plus Inkfish's Deeper Dub. The former retains something of the soulful, Latin-y feel (and vocals) but adds a parping organ, which is always nice… and then the stone-cold killer is the Deeper Dub, which ain't nothing but a stripped n' chuggin' bass-y house groove, the vocal and fluttering Spanish geetars making only the most fleeting of guest appearances in heavily filtered, 'winged in outta nowhere over the top' form.

Like I said, with a range of mixes, this should appeal to a range of jocks, so check it for yourself.
