Jouhl – Cold Calling

Jouhl Cold Calling Sleazy Deep
Okay, so after Damien Exton took Jesus P into dark, twisted corners it's time to get even deeper and even freakier with this superb nugget from Sleazy Deep.

Sitting somewhere between slo-mo house, sonorous deep techno and the most K'd-out of underground disco wonk, Cold Calling features a seriously fucked-up male take on the Love Hangover vocal and comes in four mixes in total, with rerubs from Mekanism, Max Belobrov and Sleazy Deep themselves, AKA label bosses Rob Made and Jamie Le Vack. And I'm struggling hard to pick a favourite cos in their various ways (Mekanism go just a little housier, Belobrov adds some vintage Chi-town sounds, Sleazy Deep's Social Remix is a notch techier) they all, including the original, completely rock, basically.

Awesome stuff… and that's on the hi-fi. On big speakers, this record might actually make heads explode.

Out: This week
