Tony S - Ghostwritten EP

New on Savoir Faire Musique comes this three-tracker from London boy Tony S.

All three tracks – Ghostwritten itself, Half Life and Tyche – are largely instrumental, and for me Tyche stands out with its dubby overtones. But all three are very playable, Half Life continuing the dubby theme with its bubbling, sub-aquatic bassline and voice-as-instrument vocal stabs, while Ghostwritten is something of a nostalgic ride that harks back to the classic Chi-town deep of Heard, Trent et al.

Solid stuff from an always checkable label.
