Paul Sparkes – Break U Down EP

Paul Sparkes is a British DJ who lives in Amsterdam, where he's promoter and resident at Floorplay and a regular on 365Live radio. Here, he serves up an EP of deep/tech house grooves for Sex On Wax Recordings.

There are three tracks in a total of five mixes. Break U Down itself is a contemporary-style deep/tech chugger with sampled speech vox, while The Look is a more upbeat and percussive tech-house cut. You then get three mixes of Come On: one from Paul himself and two from label co-owner Omid 16B. The three mixes don't vary hugely but again, if now-sounding deep/tech vibes are what you're after, you won't go far wrong here.
