Mr Leman & Thomas Dieckmann – Lost

Mr Leman & Thomas Dieckmann Lost Gartenhaus
Thomas Dieckmann… Mr Leman… Gartenhaus… these are all names that when it comes to deep, techy goodness, you can rely on. Put all three together, and the results don't disappoint.

Lost, a joint Leman/Dieckmann outing, is predicated around a slightly scary one-note warping analogue synth hit and French sampled speech, and comes with a deeper, dubbier Detone Remix. Mr Leman goes solo on Raw, using similar vox to Lost but this time atop a slightly more mellow deep/tech house groove, while Mr Dieckmann likewise goes it alone on Too Many Cocktails, taking us to the heart of the 4am dancefloor and, interestingly, mixing up that very 'now' Berlin/east London vibe with some warmer, more 'classic' deep house sounds.

And there's not a track among them that isn't, frankly, superb. Go seek.

Out: This week

About: Denmark's Gartenhaus can be found with their noses buried in the Book Of Face and getting down to the Sound of the Cloud.
