Various – A Kind Of Kling Klong Vol 4

And speaking of bastions of all things tech-house, here's the latest sampler offering from Germany's Kling Klong, boasting five tracks by four artists in a total of seven mixes, coming as ever from a clutch of new names hand-picked for the honour by Kling Klong bosses Martin Eyerer and Rainer Weichhold.

The artists in question are Denis Horvat, Sascha Sonido, J Diesel and Tapesh, while Dave Spritz and Dirty Doering get involved on the remix tip. I'm not gonna go into every track individually – partly because I'm, y'know, lazy, and partly because the joy of a sampler EP like this lies mostly in sucking it and seeing, surely? But Sascha Sonido's Dirty Jobs, with its echoes of classic NY-style house, is particularly worthy of your attention, I'd humbly propose… and Tapesh's meandering chugger Yeah is definitely worth a punt too.

All told, another very solid release from a very reliable label.

Out: This week

About: Kling Klong is of course part of the Great Stuff family of labels, and can be found here
