Phonogenic & Sasse – High Gee

Say the names Phonogenic and Sasse, and you'd probably normally think of deep house/nu-disco fusions. I would, anyway. But here they turn their hands to a techier, wonkier style of house altogether.

While definitely sitting under the tech-house banner, though, High Gee still has plenty of the funk that we associate with both of these producers. It also comes complete with a remix from Jesper Dahlbäck, in whose hands it becomes something of a prog/techno monster.

It's the original that's doing it for me more than the Dahlbäck rub, to be honest, but again, mixing it up on the remixes means this should appeal to range of jocks.
