A solid little three-tracker from Mr Stewart here. And an interesting one, because I'm really not sure quite how you'd classify Not What You Know… it's deep, techy, funky and a wee bit proggy, kind of all at the same time without falling neatly into any one of those pigeonholes.Which is a good thing, obviously. So rather than even attempting to pigeonhole this one we'll just call it house music and leave it at that, shall we?
Mix-wise, Audio Soul Project supply a more bumpin' remix of the title track that satisfies with some BIG organ sounds, and then bonus cut It's Who You Know sits on that deep/prog border, with some nice retro Chi-town synths, a druggy, wobbly b-line and hints of treated female vocal.
